Blink-182 are back with a new song called "Bored to Death". It's the first we've heard from the band since Tom DeLonge's departure. It features Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba, who take's over for the ousted Tom DeLonge.
The first thing I heard when I heard this track is "Yep, sounds just like Blink-182. There's no mistaking it." This song will make fans of Blink-182 very happy, and while this is considered a new chapter for the band. The sound is pretty much status quo for a Blink-182 song destined to become a hit on the alternative charts. There's no real evolution in the band's sound here, so if you were hoping for any. You won't be finding it with this song.
There is also an upcoming album, rumored to be called 'California'. "Bored to Death" is expected to be considered the first single off the new album. I wasn't able to find a youtube video for the new song, so here's a link to the stream: https://vid.me/FzGv
